One Level Teaspoonful
will get you started!

HOW MUCH DO I NEED?
That depends on whether you are tackling  bacterial cystitis or interstitial cystitis, and whether it is a long-standing / recurring infection, or a new infection that hasn't become fully established yet.

One pack/tub contains 30 level teaspoons of D-Mannose UTI-Medication. It will usually clear a new or first-time infection. You'll need more if fighting a severe or long-term infection, or if you are catheterising or have interstitial cystitis.

It’s also a good idea to have a supply in your handbag or pocket, or in your desk at work or in the car, so that if you ever feel those dreaded initial symptoms you can immediately take a heaped teaspoonful of Waterfall D-Mannose, and take another an hour later. This will usually stop a cystitis episode.

FREQUENT URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS -
WHERE DO THEY COME FROM?

Frequent Urinary Tract Infections are usually  regarded as the same as Bladder Infections and Cystitis by non-medical folk. These infections are not really the same, but because most people think they are, I will refer to them as such for the purposes of this article.

In this article I hope to explain the basic anatomy of the urinary system, what unrinary tract infections symptoms are, how to treat and hopefully cure uti / cystitis infection, suggest a remedy for bladder infection,  and tell you a little about male urinary tract infection.

The Urinary System consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra, and (in men) the prostate gland.

The Urinary System collects and stores urine, and releases it when you urinate.  Cystitis and UTI are infections of some part of this system.

Cystitis or UTI (urinary tract infection) is an infection in any part of urinary system.

KIDNEYS

The kidneys (there are two of them) collect the waste products from the digestive system together with water from the blood to make urine.

URETERS

The ureters are tiny little tubes which carry urine down from the  kidneys to the bladder.

BLADDER

The bladder holds the urine until it is full, when it sends it down to the outside world (through the urethra) when you urinate.

URETHRA

As you urinate, the urethra carries the urine out of your bladder.

PROSTATE  (men only)

The prostate gland’s main function is to add fluid to semen. The Urethra passes right through the centre of the Prostate.  In some conditions which can affect the prostate, it is squeezed or even totally occluded (stopped up), which can result in a “backing up” of urine which finds it cannot pass through to the outside.

This backing up and holding of the urine in the bladder can lead to increased risk of cystitis infection and male urinary tract infection.

How are UTI  Infections/ Cystitis Infections or Bladder Infections caused?

Frequent Urinary Tract Infections are caused by bacteria which have somehow managed to make their way from the digestive system into the urinary tract. Usually these bacteria reach the urethra via the penis or vagina , and – in some cases - they can travel further on up to the bladder or kidneys.  These bacteria are the origin of cystitis infection or bladder infection.

Urine is usually sterile, containing only fluids, salts, and waste matter, but it is usually totally free of bacteria or viruses. Most urine-infections are caused by the Escherichia coli (E. coli ) bacteria, which usually lives in the colon and have somehow made there way into the urinary system.

Because they are usually introduced from outside, most infections are limited to the urethra (urethritis). Strictly speaking, infections here are not cystitis infections but UTI infections (urinary tract infections).

Only if the infection travels on up into the bladder is it truly a bladder infection / cystitis infection.  However the remedy for a bladder infection is usually the same as for the symptoms of UTI.

UTI cures are notoriously difficult to maintain, often because re-infection occurs without you realising you are doing it!  See: Urinary Tract Infection Treatment - 12 Ways to Avoid Them

If a female of male urinary tract infection is left untreated, it may progress up the ureters and from there infect the kidneys (called pyelonephritis ). This can sometimes be serious, (you should always take early positive steps to prevent things progressing this far).

NATURE SOMETIMES PROVIDES ITS OWN UTI CURES!

The structure of the urinary system will help to prevent most urinary infections. It normally prevents urine from backing up to the kidneys, and the normal flow helps to flush any bacteria from the body.

But some people seem to be particularly prone to these urinary tract infections and bladder infections, in particular women and the elderly.

Other Forms of UTI Infection

There are other forms of UTI too! Micro-organisms called Mycoplasma and Chlamydia may also cause UTIs or Cystitis in women, and male urinary tract infection too, but these infections are usually confined to the urethra or the reproductive system.

Because these infections may be sexually transmitted, they require medical treatment for both partners.

Male Urinary Tract Infection

Cystitis Infection in men is far more common than most people think! The healthy prostate gland produces secretions that slow bacterial growth, and the extra length of the male urethra also minimises the risk of infections. Despite these defences, infections can occur, and – oddly - men actually suffer repeated urinary tract infections more than women.

Anyone with diabetes, or some unrelated problem that makes it difficult to urinate, is more likely to suffer recurrent uti infections too.

Most healthy young women don't have recurrent uti infections, but about 20% of women who get a UTI will go on to suffer a repeat. Some women get four or more UTI infections per year.

UTI CURES - An effective treatment for Urinary Tract Infection

If you are unlucky enough to suffer frequent urinary tract infections, you must consult your doctor so that you can begin to treat your UTI immediately. He may refer you to a urologist, (a specialist in urinary problems ), or he may try to obtain a UTI cure using UTI antibiotics, possibly for a longer-than-usual period, in an attempt to prevent those frequent UTI infections.

Some wise doctors give a backup supply of UTI antibiotics to patients who suffer frequent UTI infections, to be taken at the first sign of trouble. Sadly, however, most doctors have been converted to the creed of never issuing more than a week’s supply of any antibiotic at any time - in case the bugs become immune.

This is laudable, but I believe that if antibiotics are to be used as UTI cures, then recurring uti episodes should receive a longer course of UTI antibiotics. In particular this applies to men - male urinary tract infections need a longer treatment because bacteria can conceal themselves deep inside the prostate gland, and to treat a male urinary tract infection there is extremely difficult.

An Effective Alternative Remedy
for Cystitis  / UTI  /Bladder Infection

Urinary Tract Infection Symptoms are truly horrible.  They won’t kill you, but they can be so bad that you wish they had!

So why doesn’t someone come up with an effective treatment for urinary tract infection.  There must be at least one uti-cure for frequent urinary tract infections?

Will a vaccine or some other wonder UTI cure evolve to help the millions of UTI sufferers to (at least) alleviate their UTI symptoms  even if it can’t cure them?

Cystitis Infections, UTIs and bladder infections blight millions of people’s lives.  A vaccine may eventually be developed to assist sufferers in building a natural immunity, but this is many years away.

A Natural Remedy For Frequent Urinary Tract Infections

A revolutionary natural remedy for frequent urinary tract infections has at last  been discovered, offering a combination of important characteristics enabling it to tackle urinary tract infection symptoms head-on.

Unlike the usual treatment for urinary tract infection, it won’t attack the good bacteria which inhabit our bodies, it just hoovers up and disposes of the cystitis-infection-creating bugs.

The UTI-CURE to Beat ALL UTI CURES?

This amazing remedy for bladder infections is not absorbed by the body, nor are there any known side-effects. It just does the job and goes away.
