HOW MUCH DO I NEED?
That depends on whether you are tackling  bacterial cystitis or interstitial cystitis, and whether it is a long-standing / recurring infection, or a new infection that hasn't become fully established yet.

One pack/tub contains 30 level teaspoons of D-Mannose UTI-Medication. It will usually clear a new or first-time infection. You'll need more if fighting a severe or long-term infection, or if you are catheterising or have interstitial cystitis.

It’s also a good idea to have a supply in your handbag or pocket, or in your desk at work or in the car, so that if you ever feel those dreaded initial symptoms you can immediately take a heaped teaspoonful of Waterfall D-Mannose, and take another an hour later. This will usually stop a cystitis episode.

Yes. The only difference between the tablets and the powder is that the tablets have addedbinding agents. And, of course, you just swallow the tablets with a drink instead of dissolving them in water. They are of equal value.

Is Waterfall D-Mannose safe in higher  doses?

Yes, to the very best of our knowledge, and according to all available research. Mannose is an essential glyconutrient, rather than a 'medicine'. It is already in every cell of your body, and the body produces mannose naturally.  Just as we produce vitamins like C and D. Mannose is also present in tiny quantities in some foods like blueberries, pineapple, and aloe vera, and is very natural to the body. Waterfall D-Mannose (we speak only for our product, and can't vouch for others) has no recorded adverse effects at normal or even high consumption levels.

But obviously, like with any foodstuff, you can make yourself sick with it by eating too much. Our suggested maximum consumption is 50 grams a day. Few people would require that level of bladder support. Being a natural product rather than a medicine, you can decide how much to take. Our guidelines are loose - they are just guidelines!

If you believe your bladder symptoms or bladder infection is so severe that you need to take such huge quantities of Waterfall D-Mannose, especially over an extended period, it would be wise to discuss this with your doctor, physician, or an experienced nutritionist before doing so.

Our own experience on how to treat a uti with D-Mannose, is that if you take more than about 2 or 3 times the recommended measure of Waterfall D-Mannose, you only absorb a small part of it through the small intestine. The remainder passes though to the large intestine, (and it could cause some diarrhea).

OK, So D-Mannose is a great  urinary tract infection medicine,
but  does Waterfall D-Mannose nourish Candida?

No, nor is it a treatment for Candida. Its target is the ubiquitous urine infection, chronic cystitis, uti infections and bladder infections.

Incidentally, if you have thrush, here is an old fashioned way of dealing with the problem using a 5% solution of clear vinegar. That's one spoonful of vinegar to 19 of sterile water/ food jelly. This was the simplified basis of a now unobtainable product called Aci-Gel®. It seems to work well, by all reports. Best to check with your doctor though, to make sure you know what you are dealing with.

What's the best way to learn how much Waterfall D-Mannose to take?

Everyone is different, so our information on our product suggests between 1 and 8 level teaspoonfuls a day, or between 3 and 24 of the half-gram pills a day, depending on your own individual requirements.

Is Waterfall D-Mannose safe for a urine infection
in babies and/or pregnant mothers?

To the very best of our knowledge, Waterfall D-Mannose is safe for everyone - nor will it harm an unborn child. D-mannose is just an essential glyconutrient helpful in UTI prevention and treatment of chronic cystitis.

What if I get some adverse symptoms?

At normal, or even five times normal consumption levels, the product cannot be causing adverse side effects, except for (at very high consumption levels) a loosening of the bowels. But if you think it is, stop taking it. Remember that it's very easy to get confused about what is actually causing the problem.

If I am Using Waterfall-D-Mannose as a urinary tract infection medicine, Can I take it alongside prescription drugs?

There are no known interaction between any drug and Waterfall D-Mannose, so although you should always ask your doctor before taking ANY alternative remedy alongside a prescription drug, it should be safe for you to do so.

We have been obliged to change the advice we give. Companies providing natural health products are now subject to rigid legal restrictions on the advice they can offer. However, you now have to use your common sense and take the amount you need to support your bladder health.

If I take a product that helps to support a healthy bladder and prevent bladder infections / urine infections, must my partner take it too?

Not necessarily. Just stay clean and stay safe. Make a mental note of your triggers, and then avoid them!

To prevent a bladder infection, try to maintain an alkaline bladder. Don't take cranberry or orange (acidic), and if you take more than 100 - 150 mg of vitamin C, most of the excess goes straight into your urine, also adversely affecting your bladder health and perhaps contributing to bladder symptoms.

To beat a urine infection you may find it helps to take Echinachea two weeks on, and two weeks off, to to help your immune system to “kick in”.

Should I take Mannose before bed or during the night?

That depends on the level of support and your bladder symptoms. The product will help you to support a healthy bladder at night too.
